Rufus Wainwright ha annunciato Folkocracy, un album costellato di reinvenzioni di musica folk che vede il cantautore nominato ai 2 Grammy Award affiancato da una spettacolare collezione di amici, familiari e altri artisti ospiti speciali che include Brandi Carlile, John Legend, David Byrne, Sheryl Crow, Nicole Scherzinger, Chaka Khan , Andrew Bird, ANOHNI, Susanna Hoffs, Van Dyke Parks, Madison Cunningham e molti altri.
‘Folkocracy’ arriva venerdì 2 giugno via BMG in una gamma di formati. Prodotto dal collaboratore di lunga data Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Crowded House), Folkocracy è annunciato dall’uscita di “Down in the Willow Garden (feat. Brandi Carlile)”. Una murder ballad senza tempo reinventata per i tempi moderni.
