Il Record Store Day organizzato in occasione del Black Friday 2016 ha portato con sé un bellissimo regalo: ‘Live At The Apollo, Volume II’ di James Brown, il mitico live del 1968, registrato assieme ai The Famous Flame all’Apollo Theater di Harlem.
Il Volume II è il seguito della registrazione effettuata da Brown nel 1963, sempre all’Apollo e contiene la più famosa versione nonché il medley più lungo di ‘Let Yourself Go’, ‘There Was a Time’ e ‘I Feel All Right’, seguite da ‘Cold Sweat’, che documentano lo sviluppo dello stile funky da parte di James Brown.
