THE PROPOSITION (“La proposta”) è stata la prima colonna sonora composta da Nick Cave & Warren Ellis che ha visto un distaccamento concreto rispetto ai loro progetti precedenti (con i THE BIRTHDAY PARTY e BAD SEEDS).
Il film è uscito nel 2005 ed è stato diretto da John Hillcoat con, nel cast, Ray Winstone, Guy Pearce e Danny Hutson.
Il film ha vinto una serie di riconoscimenti come “Best Original Music Score” all’AFI Awards. Nick Cave aveva già collaborato in passato con Hillcoat nel film del 1988 “Ghosts… of the Civil Dead” curando la sceneggiatura, le musiche e recitando nel film stesso e nel film del 1996 “To Have and to Hold” di cui ha curato le musiche.
È disponibile per la prima volta in vinile edizione limitata color oro.
