Chris Forsyth & The Solar MotelBand torna in studio dopo un anno di concerti in giro per il mondo. E lo hanno fatto assieme a Jeff Ziegler (che ha lavorato anche con i War on Drugs o con Kurt Vile), per mettere insieme un lavoro di grandi dimensioni, come The Rarity of Experience, un doppio album (The Rarity of Experience part I and part II) che vede Forsyth e la sua band tirare fuori un suono assolutamente caratteristico, che riesce a bilanciare perfettamente le atmosfere Anni Settanta che richiamano il rock progressive e il rock psichedelico, a un post-rock assolutamente attuale.
