Echo & The Bunnymen sono un gruppo musicale post-punk formatosi a Liverpool nel 1978 dall’unione di Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Les Pattinson e successivamente dal batterista Pete De Freitas.
Sono diventati famosi grazie all’album “Heaven Up Here”, “Porcupine” e “Ocean Rain” in cui è contenuta la canzone The Killing Moon.
L’album THE JOHN PEEL SESSIONS contiene tutte le sessioni di registrazioni eseguite durante il programma della BBC Radio1 di John Peel dal 1979 al 1983, il Dj britannico più influente mai esistito che grazie alle sue “Session” è diventato una leggenda.
Sono stati suoi ospiti più volte gruppi come Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix e molti altri.
