Jack White ha annunciato la pubblicazione di ‘Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016′ che sarà disponibile dal 9 settembre nella doppia versione: doppio lp o doppio cd con 26 tracce e che conterrà delle versioni alternative, dei mix particolari e mai realizzati prima della produzione del musicista americano, da quando ha iniziato con i White Stripes, poi con i The Raconteurs e, infine, relativi alla sua carriera da solista.
Tutto il materiale è stato completamente rimasterizzato, facendo di questa pubblicazione, la raccolta definitiva di Jack White.
‘Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016’ mette insieme, come dicevamo, 26 canzoni che rispecchiano l’ampio spettro musicale di White, portando alla luce b-sides, dei remix, delle versioni alternative, che sono presentate in questa raccolta in rigoroso ordine cronologico. Tra le rarità che sono incluse nel disco, c’è anche la versione acustica della canzone che ha portato al successo i The White Stripes, ‘Sugar Never Tasted So Good’.
Questi brani sono stati rimasterizzati quest’anno da Andrew Nendelson a Nashville e sono tutti scritti e prodotti da Jack White, a parte ‘Never Far Away’ che è stata prodotta da T Bone Burnett, ‘Honey, We Can’t Afford To Look This Cheap’, prodotta da Beck, ‘Top Yourself‘, presentata nella versione dei Bluegrass e ‘Carolina Drama‘, scritta e prodotta oltre che da White, anche da Brendan Benson, mentre, ‘Machine Gun Silhouette’ è stata composta, oltre che da White, anche da Rob Jones.
